New Furniture and Appliances oh my!

First of the Month I go and buy some Appliances!

 The new STOVE and Microwave

 The new Dishwasher

 The new chair and Loves seat!

I was needing a new Love seat and all and Serverance from Symantec was nice enough to provide these lovelies!!

August starts some big changes for me...

Well August first I was laid off from Symantec after 12 years of combined employment with Altiris first and then when Symantec (they bought Altiris).  I was not too tore up about it as I was really ready for a change... In fact I had been already posting my resume around and starting the process of finding a new job.
Aug 3rd was my Birthday and Margo my friend from U of U percussion days and I went to Park Cafe for some delicious food and good fun!

 Later that Day Juanita came down for my birthday weekend and we had a good dinner with Logan X, Charles and Debbie.  Juanita I spent all weekend just doing things that were fun and crazy not a bad Birthday weekend!

Also in the month of August my newest great nephew Hazen Christensen was born Aug 13 2012 and he is beautiful!

 August 19th was a special day because many of my family and I got to enjoy the best touring company of WICKED I have yet seen.  I was Joined by Juanita Wright, Jamie Wright Busby, Cambria Christensen, Charles and Debbie Williams and my friends Roxann Hardcastle Rose, Mark Kendzior and his wife!  What a great day of Theater.

Oh yea I started my new job at Central Logic on Aug 27th so all in all a good Month full  fun and Change.

February... going going...

Well February is here and aside from the annoyance which is work....
it has been nice so far..

work has decided to act on an issue they have known about for 6 years but thought it was better to wait till the last minute to react and thus make an entire team of people work extra hours weekends and well take over our routine. YUCK!

Good side so far the Marimba Quartet first performance was really good... we played well and I think the audience appreciated the performance:

Year of Logan continues!!

Diana came up on the 8th to spend some time with Logan and family and friends but I think mostly Logan...
So on my Friday off we had a yummy breakfast together:

We met at Blue Plate Diner up on 21st and 20th for a nice time of eating and catching up...

Logan slept the entire time!

We then grabbed Logan for a quick run to Micheal's for the final components of his Valentines moment :)

You would think somewhere at Valentines there might be a cupid bow and arrow for a baby well.. there is not.. We tried Micheal's, Zurchers Party supplies and was about to go to Toys-R-Us when we decided we could make our own for 3 dollars...

We went back to Chuck and Debbie's for the afternoon of Logan mauling and Diana had our bow and arrow setup in minutes.
As for Logan mauling he is the best baby when it comes to letting his Aunts coo and love him.
I am not too good at feeding him but I seem to be great at getting him to burp and spit up the ucky milk in his belly :)

I was introduced to his happy spot.. his diaper changing table in his room... He loves it and it was here Diana and I introduced him to Wolverine!!!

Diana was the hand and voice of wolverine and he seemed to have a good time with it.



Finally Diana got him to eat all of his morning snack and he was out in the burps

He slept for a bit and then was up and hungry..

Finally he got some of his mom's time while Diana took a nap and I just sat and chatted with Debby.


I was having a good time getting him to smile and coo and we were constantly trying to catch his smile in a photo.
He gets distracted from smiling as soon as a camera is around and just focus on figuring out what that thing is...
Here was a moment I caught where he was telling me such a story!

Happy February!

Marimbas, Nephew and fun...

First I have been playing in marimba quartet made up of some friends from college, Dan Chamberland, Jill Hancey and Margo Watts (owner of the marimba which i have claimed when she dies... LOL)

So we started with just some violin quartets etc.. and suddenly I started thinking I could do better arrangements and so I installed sibelius again and started up doing the arrangements

so far i have arranged
from a quintet Farandole by Bizet, Air by Bach, Canon in D by Pachobel and Whiter Shade of Pale by Lanz/Harum and now Williams.

Also during the Holidays I had much fun with my new nephew and his dad :)

he was a good little baby while we took lots of cute and wonderful pictures..






Then came New Years:
I called Charles up and said hey how do you feel about wearing a diaper and growing a white beard.. he said he would do it and we had the makings of the Old Man New Year 2011 with the Baby New Year 2012

Chuck was a great sport and I think he will have some fun explaining how Angel got him do wear a diaper in a picture.

My Dad broke his hip a few days before Christmas so I drove down to St. George for Christmas.. it was a good time, both Mom and Dad were keeping busy while I kept track of the dogs.
I don't know who was more tired at night Dad or Mom since mom was going up and down the stairs everytime dad had to move.
I did get to learn how to empty the blackwater tank for the trailer which is one more thing I can add to my resume!

Logan was born 3:54am dec 1. we r both healthy. his is already eating like a champ. 7lb 12 oz, 20 inches long. All is well

Marimba Quartet with Danno, Jill and Margo has gotten my creative juices flowing again, the keyboard is hooked up to the computer, Sibelius is installed and I am arranging again.

yes it will be huge to start as I can only hear it as an ensemble piece however it will work as a quartet :)

Karate: teaching under Suke Davis's supervision and loving it.

Work: moved to a new part of the building because someone said it was time to shuffle the pieces again... working hard on keeping the builds going and integrating new builds constantly.
Yippee!

Kishindo Martial Arts: Angel Williams Black Belt Ceremony August 13, 2011

I discussed the time with Master Davis and we decided on 4 oclock for the start of the demos and ceremony.
Well that turned out to be more like 4:40 start due to us having to wait for one more Black Belt to come and witness the ceremony.

So we all go there in the heat of the dojo and just talked and mingled...somewhat.. it ended up that the kids were ever so more excited to play with all the toys that Master Davis keeps in the Dojo for his Grandkids.

So here is a break down of the events as they transpired:

I was honored to have so many of my friends there in attendance. And only wished I could have been closer to my Mom and Dad so that they could have come up for it. But we recorded it in video and mom and dad will see it then.
