Night of the Running Dead 5k and Wolverine!

This weekend was a great time..

I had Black Belt Class Saturday morning... and then I had some fun going up to see Jax and Trevon!
We had lunch at Jimmy Johns and while we were there we found out the Anime Convention was in Layton.
Well Juanita and Jax had to go see it so I drove through the Parking lot 3 times for them.

I then had to go home so I could get to my volunteer duties at the Running Dead 5k at the South Town Mall area.
I got there and was quick to start handing out packets and while standing there I decided I was going to do the run.. I have not done a 5k since I lived in Manhattan where I used to do a 5k or 10k once a month.  It was my way of staying in shape for my clients in the gyms.  Well I signed up and realized I didn't have shorts on and I wasn't wearing my running shoes nor a sports bra...
so I ran to Old Navy and bought a pair of Ute pajama bottoms to cut into shorts and wear.

I started the race at a good pace (slow and steady) I finished in 42:30 minute which was pathetic if you look at the fact at one time in my life I was doing 4 miles in 34 minutes... LOL
I had fun and completed the race with a little wear and tear on my bod!

Sunday I got to go see my nephew Logan X and Deliver his Wolverine costume and do our first photo shoot..

Quartet's Photo Shoot! 2012

Well its October...

I have had a busy month the Quartet finally had some time to do a photo shoot and a friend of ours Scott Spain took some great photos...

Condo Transformation 2012 and I love it.

Ok I have wanted to change my floors for the last 6 years and with my Lay off from Symantec I have been able to pay off all my small credit card debt, get some appliances that I really needed and now a beautiful new floor in my condo.
First the before pictures Monday September 24th!

And then the work just progressed...Tuesday I came home to this:

Tuesday night I decided to have Mike include the kitchen tile as well so Wednesday no new flooring but check out the carnage in the Kitchen!

Thursday night I came home to tile without grouting in the kitchen and the rest of the floor laid with no base boards I was saying in my head LOOKS GREAT!!!

August starts some big changes for me...

Well August first I was laid off from Symantec after 12 years of combined employment with Altiris first and then when Symantec (they bought Altiris).  I was not too tore up about it as I was really ready for a change... In fact I had been already posting my resume around and starting the process of finding a new job.
Aug 3rd was my Birthday and Margo my friend from U of U percussion days and I went to Park Cafe for some delicious food and good fun!

 Later that Day Juanita came down for my birthday weekend and we had a good dinner with Logan X, Charles and Debbie.  Juanita I spent all weekend just doing things that were fun and crazy not a bad Birthday weekend!

Also in the month of August my newest great nephew Hazen Christensen was born Aug 13 2012 and he is beautiful!

 August 19th was a special day because many of my family and I got to enjoy the best touring company of WICKED I have yet seen.  I was Joined by Juanita Wright, Jamie Wright Busby, Cambria Christensen, Charles and Debbie Williams and my friends Roxann Hardcastle Rose, Mark Kendzior and his wife!  What a great day of Theater.

Oh yea I started my new job at Central Logic on Aug 27th so all in all a good Month full  fun and Change.
